Dominating Performance Earns Ja’Quinden Jackson Hog of the Week

On Monday, Oct. 24, redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Ja’Quinden Jackson was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week by the league office. Jackson’s incredible performance this past weekend earned him this distinctive recognition as he dominated against the visiting Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, Oct. 22 on Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Hogs’ Top Defensive Player

Ja’Quinden Jackson’s performance against the Aggies was truly exceptional. He recorded six tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one quarterback hurry in the game. His 2.5 sacks broke the Arkansas program’s single-game. Jackson’s accomplishment is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport.

Jackson’s Consistency

Jackson’s standout performance against Texas A&M is not an isolated incident. He has been consistently playing at a high level throughout the 2022 season. Jackson has started all eight games for the Razorbacks and has recorded 25 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one interception, one pass breakup, and two quarterback hurries. He leads the team in tackles for loss and sacks, and his contributions have been vital to the Razorbacks’ success this season.

The Razorbacks will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 29, when they host the Liberty Flames at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
