Borussia Dortmund has advanced to the semifinals of the Champions League after defeating Atletico Madrid 4-2 in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie. Dortmund won 5-4 on aggregate, having lost the first leg 2-0 in Madrid.
Dortmund raced out to a 2-0 lead in the first half of the second leg, with goals from Marco Reus and Jude Bellingham. Atletico Madrid pulled one back through Antoine Griezmann, but Dortmund restored their two-goal lead through Karim Adeyemi.
Atletico Madrid scored again in the second half through Angel Correa, but Dortmund held on for the win. Dortmund will now face either Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the semifinals.
